Number one: Do what the pros in any sport do to get ready for a game – start with a warm-up an hour before the game. You can head to the clubhouse early, and do brisk-walking in order to get your blood moving. Begin your warm-ups by taking two clubs and swinging them in circles above your head. Do this ten times with each arm to get your shoulders ready. Put the rest of your clubs on the ground in a vertical position, and put your hands on top of the grips. Then, do ten squats to warm up your knees, calves, and hips.

Number two: Practice. Hit you irons and your woods for about ten minutes. Start slowly with three-quarter length swings, and then build up to full swings. This drill will help stretch your arm, leg, and core muscles.

Number three: Learn how to putt without pressure. In order to do this, you must first make a good study of the line. Crouch down behind the ball and look toward the hole. Know where you want to aim, and adjust for the lie of the green in your trajectory. After adjusting your aim, take a couple of practice strokes so that you will have the right feel for how hard you want to stroke your putt. Now, address the ball, and stroke it with confidence.

Number four: You have to know how to fix slices. The simplest fix for a slice is in the grip. By having a weak grip, one that is turned more counter-clockwise, the club face may open at the time of impact. Therefore, turn your grip slightly to the right in order to give you a stronger grip.
