Many people are always looking for a way to improve their golf game and one of the best places to begin is with your swing. Swinging your golf club correctly will be most effective for hitting the ball further and straighter. Believe it or not, your grip is the foundation for success on the golf course. There are a few different golf grips that may work for you. The first and possibly the best choice for most people is known as the Interlocking Grip.
With the interlocking grip, you should be able to achieve the proper leverage which in turn will give you more power. There is also the overlapping grip or the baseball grip. Once you are ready to swing your golf club, the way you stand, also known as your stance is key to having your weight equally balanced. Keep in mind that you should feel relaxed, bend at your hips and also have a slight flex in the knees when addressing the ball.
When you are in committing to your downswing, your head should remain in the same position. You will generate the most power in your swing by the leverage and the angle between your wrists and the club. Right handed players should also be sure to keep their left arm straight during the back swing and take it back as far as they can. When it comes to the game of golf, perhaps no one has mastered his swing better than Tiger Woods. If you visit his website, TigerWoods.com, you will find quite a few tips there as well.

If you want to learn how to play golf, the best thing to do is, to take some lessons from professional golfers.
In order to get the best hit on the ball, you must hit as close to the ground as possible. Use your iron to practice with. You need to get your iron close to the bottom of the ball, and hit hard and strong in the middle of the iron. This will allow you to get the most force from your iron.
If you want to practice the feeling of hitting the ball, put tees on the ground approximately six inches apart. Hit the ball as close to the tee as possible, without moving the tee. Putting the tees six inches apart, will help you to hit the ball in the middle, to get the most effective power.
This is how to be more effective on your chip and run technique. Many short game techniques are to, putt whenever possible. Chip and run when you can't putt. Pitch only when you have no choice. These tips are from golfers who are experienced in golfing.
When stoking the ball, keep the pressure in your hands consistent and soft. Being sensitive throughout your putt is key. If you do not stay sensitive, you will end up hitting or jabbing the ball. This is not the way you want to putt your ball.
When you putt your ball, make sure your hands are not moving independently. Watch your hands very closely a few times, to make sure that you are not moving them. Your hands, arms, and shoulders should remain fluid and interconnected when putting the ball.

Some of the golf lessons you need to learn is how to improve your bunker game. Use the swing speed to alter your distance. This will also have to take into account your location on the field, the speed and direction of the wind. To hit the ball shorter, you will want your club to hit the ball at a steep angle. If you want the ball to go longer, then you will hit the ball at a shallower angle.
Make sure you hit 2-3 inches of sand with each shot when getting out of the bunker. This is to ensure that the ball does not spin too much. Too much sand and more spinning will occur. Too little sand and there won't be enough to get the ball going out of the bunker. A good way to make sure you don't hit more than that amount is to put a line behind the ball approximately 2-3 inches and aim for that, no more, no less.
Being in the bunker is a sand entrapment, in order to stabilize yourself, place your feet on the sand and dig into the sand. This will help you to straighten yourself out as well as help yourself from moving and stabilize when swinging and hitting the ball. Use an open stance with your left foot out to the left. This will restrict your back swing length and steepen the swing. Open your club face slightly to offset the open stance. Open it more if you want a higher, softer shot. Keep your wrists firm until well after impact of the ball. Visualize a steep U shaped swing on the ball in the air.

In recent golf news, people were astonished to discover that Tiger Woods did not when the Masters this year. The win by Angel Cabrera is being labeled an "upset" by golf fans all over the world. The recent upset took place this year in August, Georgia when Angel Cabrera won after a remarkable, almost unbelievable game. His was the third consecutive upset in recent Master’s history. To many, the most remarkable element is that Tiger Woods, the favorite, did not win again.
In April of this year, Argentinean Angel Cabrera was reportedly all smiles as he won the Masters. With a number of dramatic shots, including a shot on the first hole of a three-man playoff that ricocheted off a tree, Cabrera stood up to strong comeback efforts by champions Woods and Mickelson. At times during the game his win did not seem likely, in the end, it was the big man from Argentina that accepted the green jacket from last year’s upset winner, South African Trevor Immelman.
Although considered the favorite going into the tournament, Tiger Woods once again disappointed his fans. Much of the pre-event coverage focused on his improving abilities and his strong desire to win. Yet his continuing inability to play a good game consistently haunted him. From the early rounds, Woods fell behind and was never able to catch up to the leaders. Though Woods was the favorite, fans are embracing the new Masters champion, Angel Cabrera.
